REPAIR SERVICES

  • We offer two varieties of services on band instruments: Standard and Vintage.  Standard services are designed for modern day instruments that were manufactured in the past 50 years.  Anything built prior to 50 years ago would be put into the Vintage category because of its age, wear and extra care and skill needed to bring it back to life.
  • We provide repairs that are not listed here and those would be included in an estimate once we receive the instrument in our shop.
  • All Vintage instruments will receive an estimate after it arrives at our facility and has been evaluated for needed repairs.
  • Additionally, all instruments are inspected at the time of arrival and if the technician sees any additional work that the instrument needs beyond what was requested you will be contacted with an estimate.
  • Walk-in customers will be advised that we will only call them with an estimate if the repair should exceed $80 unless they tell us otherwise.  Mail-in customers will always be provided with an estimate prior to any work being completed.

Warranty

All repair work is guaranteed for 30 days from date of completion.  Our warranty is limited to our workmanship at time of service and parts installed and does not include damage or wear and tear due to excessive use or rough handling by the player after it is returned from our facility.  Repads should last 1-5 years if the instrument is maintained and handled with respect.  Brass cleanings are recommended at least once per year or more often depending on the amount of use it gets and the biology of the musician and the environment.  Some people may need to have their instrument cleaned twice per year or more.
